On Being Both Captive and Captor
the freedom of capturing that which captures

Greetings, Reader!

Thank you for following me from an obscure blog location to this patent blog site. I intend to maintain both domains as long as words and images colour my consciousness: Les Fleurs d’un Livre for literary and more personal intentions, and On Being Both Captive and Captor for photojournalistic leanings.

Being a tag-along to my dad’s photojournalism lectures and my mom’s feature writing spiels for several years in regional press conferences have inspirited in me a special interest for pictures and words. Photographs have the capacity to be evocative and can divulge so much sans words, whereas words alone can be illuminating and poetic enough to paint spectacular images, and yet, the mere attempt to wed both mediums continue to fascinate. My lack of skill will affirm that I am not a professional writer or photographer, but to foster this fascination, it is my hope to present mere simulacra of divine or human creation through this pupil’s pupils, and to exercise the freedom of capturing that which captures.

Viva!

Yay! Hi Gabi! Hehehe I'm so glad to see you here. Thank you! Just got back from the market with Mama and Misha and was able to capture colorful market scenes. I'll sort through them and see what I can post here. =)

I'll let Misha read your comment. ;-)

Thank you for the invite, I enjoy your life explorations, this new dimension even more so!

I thank you for your constant encouragement, Jonathan. The pictures of your colourful world have partly inspired this outpouring. =)
